Alan Dogman Miller

Houston blues musician

Alan Dogman Miller moved to the Houston area in 1975 and began his musical career shortly after.  He took to the Houston music scene with wild abandon and partnered with legendary Houston musicians including Little Screamin' Kenneth Blanchet and Dr. Rockit Rock Romano.  He began his journey here with Lips and the Trips playing guitar, a hip parody of a lounge act. This led to his longest running project, the (in)famous Hightailers.  The Hightailers built the Houston music scene at Last Concert CafĂ© as the house band playing every Thursday night for over 28 years.  The Hightailers currently play at various venues in the greater Houston area and draw crowds of devoted fans both new and seasoned.  Alan has also been involved in several projects including the Little Screamin' Kenny and Dogman Band and the New Tricks.  Alan continues to play an active part in keeping the blues alive with his Texas shuffle and psychedelic jam vibe.
